The Central Cemetry is opened in 1874 and commissioned by Franz Joseph I. This is the largest cemetry in Vienna, which contains the graves of many famous and honoured people from politicians to artists and scientists. The recently died Austrian President Thomas Klestil's grave is also here and the funeral has taken place in the Dr. Karl Lueger Memorial Church. This funeral church is one of the significant Jugendstil structures in Vienna, built in 1910.
The park and the creative graveyard designs worth a visit.
